From Nine Lives Last Forever, Chpt 30: "The merry-go-round was well-traveled for such a stationary device. Manufactured in Rhode Island in the late 1800s, the ride was first featured at a park in Seattle, Washington before moving down the coast to San Francisco. After nearly fifty years of service at Playland-at-the-Beach, the carousel was purchased by a private collector and stored for several years at a warehouse in New Mexico..."
